From Dreams to Divine Purpose: Candice Harris on Faith, Writing, and Leading with Intention

Candice Harris, a graduate of LAPU’s MA in Leadership and Organizational Studies program, recently published her first book, Majestic Dreams. Inspired by her faith and life experiences, Candice uses her writing to help others better understand the meaning of dreams and the deeper messages they may hold. Through her journey, she’s combined spiritual insight, leadership tools, and personal growth to make an impact.

A Foundation of Faith & Intentionality

Candice credits LAPU with helping her lead—and write—with greater clarity and spiritual alignment.

“LAPU’s MA in Leadership and Organizational Studies program gave me a strong foundation to approach my endeavors with intentionality and a faith-rooted lens,” she shared. “This perspective initiated a deep internal shift, which has since materialized in the form of Majestic Dreams.”

One course that especially stood out was Conflict & Negotiation in Organizations, where Candice was introduced to the study of phenomenology—the exploration of consciousness and lived experience. It gave her language for something she’d carried since childhood: vivid, often symbolic dreams that featured animal imagery and intense emotional themes. For years, she wrestled with the meaning behind those nighttime messages.

“As life unfolded, significant dream events continued, eventually sparking the light I needed to unpack and reconcile these experiences. That process ultimately gave birth to Majestic Dreams.”

Writing with Purpose & Leadership in Mind

The leadership lessons Candice gained at LAPU went beyond the classroom. They gave her a compass for authorship, helping her blend intuition with structure, and creativity with discipline.

“Leadership often carries a quiet presence. A true leader learns to balance logic with intuition,” she explained. “The program taught me to identify needs in the world and offer meaningful resolutions. That mindset shaped how I write.”

With this lens, Candice moved from introspection to action—turning personal revelations into a resource that could serve and uplift others.

Anchored in Faith Since the Beginning

Faith has been central to Candice’s journey, both personally and professionally.

“My grandmother raised me in the church, and the goodness of the Creator was deeply instilled in me through my family,” she recalled. “Even as a child, I had this natural, uninhibited faith.”

One of her earliest memories, shared by her father, captures that essence. During a Calvary Chapel service, young Candice held a Bible high above her head and shouted, “This is the Word of God!” before running joyfully down the aisle. That same boldness, anchored in faith, continues to guide her today.

“It’s the lens through which I interpret the world and the source of strength behind my growth.”

For Those Who Dream of Writing

Candice encourages current students and alumni to follow the call to write—even if the path seems uncertain.

“The first step to publishing is to dream it. Vision is the spark that ignites passion, clarity, and the drive to achieve,” she said. “When your heart begins to speak, everything else will follow. Trust that inner voice, believe in your story, and don’t be afraid to take that first step.”

Her advice to aspiring authors is simple but powerful: Your words have the power to inspire, heal, and uplift—start by believing in their worth.

Majestic Dreams by Candice Harris is available now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Audible.
