    Joyce Williams-Maxwell, DBA, Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Community Partners, serves on the Los Angeles Pacific University Board of Trustees. Joyce Williams-Maxwell, DBA Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Community Partners Joyce Williams-Maxwell has over 25 years of senior leadership experience providing oversight in the areas of finance, technology, human resources, and administration in both for-profit and non-profit organizational settings, including 10 years in higher education. She is currently the Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Community Partners. Prior to this role, she served as Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer at California State University Los Angeles and as Executive Director of Finance at Azusa Pacific University. Dr. Williams-Maxwell serves as Treasurer of the board of the Hollywood Police Activities League. She earned a Doctor of Business Administration from Grenoble Ecole De Management, a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School, a Master of Information Systems from the University of Illinois, Springfield, and a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Los Angeles. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Dr. Williams-Maxwell has served as a trustee of Los Angeles Pacific University since 2021.

    Mark S. Dickerson, J.D., retired General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Azusa Pacific University, serves on the Los Angeles Pacific University Board. Mark S. Dickerson, J.D. Retired General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Azusa Pacific University Mark S. Dickerson has been practicing law in private practice, as general counsel for a multinational corporation listed on the New York Stock Exchange, and as General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Azusa Pacific University. Currently affiliated with the Phoenix law firm Schmitt Schneck Even & Williams, P.C. in an of counsel capacity, his practice is focused on higher education law, formation of corporations and limited liability companies, business transactions and religious nonprofit organizations. He has authored and co-authored several articles on organizational leadership, management education, and theology. Dickerson received a B.S. in mathematics from Grand Canyon University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and both an M.A. and PhD in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University.

    Lila Rene Jenkins, Ed.D., retired Director of Instructional Services for Garden Grove USD, serves on the Los Angeles Pacific University Board of Trustees. Lila Rene Jenkins, Ed.D. Retired Director Of Instructional Services, Superintendent’s Cabinet, Garden Grove USD Retired Director Of Instructional Services, Superintendent’s Cabinet, Garden Grove Unified School District Dr. Lila Rene Jenkins retired in June 2020 from 40 years in K-12 education in the Garden Grove Unified School District located in Orange County, California. She has worked as a Student Programs Facilitator as well as in the Office of K-6 Instructional Services, supporting the curriculum and instructional needs of school site personnel. In addition, Dr. Jenkins served as Principal at the elementary, intermediate, and high school levels. Most recently, she served as the Director Instructional Services overseeing all curriculum and instructional programs for secondary education, and was a member of the Superintendent’s cabinet team. Since 2015, Jenkins has also served as adjunct professor at Hope International University and San Diego State University. Dr. Jenkins earned her B.A. from Biola University, her M.A. from Azusa Pacific University, and her Ed.D. from the University of Southern California.

    Adam J. Morris, Ph.D., President of Azusa Pacific University, serves on the Board of Trustees at Los Angeles Pacific University, LAPU's sister institution. Adam J. Morris, Ph.D. President, Azusa Pacific University In 2022, Adam Morris was appointed as the 18th president of Azusa Pacific University. With an extensive history as a senior administrator in Christian higher education, Morris brings his heart for students and passion for an engaged faculty to his role as an agent of transformation. Prior to his appointment at APU, Morris served as executive vice president, chief transformation officer, and chief institutional advancement officer at Biola University. As chief transformation officer he steered university-wide transformation efforts in order to help the institution thrive missionally, academically, and financially. Morris holds a B.A. from Biola University, an M.A. from Talbot School of Theology, and a Ph.D. from Biola University.

    Lenny Moon serves as Chief Financial Officer on the Board of Trustees at Los Angeles Pacific University, supporting LAPU's financial governance. Lenny Moon Chief Financial Officer Throughout his career, Lenny has focused on FinTech, start-ups, M&A, and turnarounds and enjoys bringing strategic vision, financial clarity, and operational execution to companies. Prior to his various executive roles of start-ups and turnarounds, Lenny worked on Wall Street for several years as an M&A investment banker in both New York City and Los Angeles. As an investment banker, he advised primarily large publicly traded corporations and private equity firms on strategic and financial matters and has structured and executed complex M&A, debt, and equity transactions across a variety of sectors. Lenny also has several years of start-up and venture capital experience, including having been part of the core founding team that launched a Softbank-funded technology firm in Korea. Lenny received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his MBA from Columbia Business School.

Maggie Bailey, Ph.D. Executive Director, Higher Education Board and Strategy Development Dr. Maggie Bailey serves as the Executive Director, Higher Education Board and Strategy Development a consultancy committed to supporting private nonprofit higher education institutions by providing services for board development, strategic initiatives, international higher education strategies, and accreditation compliance. Previously, Dr. Bailey served as the Provost and Chief Academic Officer, St. Katherine College in San Marcos, California. Her higher education service also included twenty years with Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) where she retired in August 2015, as the Vice Provost for Program Development, Accreditation, Institutional Research, and Institutional Effectiveness. She earned her doctorate in Business at the University of Southern California and master’s degree in business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Pamela Daly, Ph.D. Campus Executive Director, West Coast University (WCU) Dr. Pamela Daly brings over 30 years of extensive leadership experience in higher education to her role on the Board of Trustees. She currently serves as the Campus Executive Director for West Coast University (WCU) at the Ontario campus, where she oversees comprehensive campus operations and leads strategic initiatives focused on student success and organizational growth. Dr. Daly holds a Ph.D. and has a deep professional commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the integration of faith in learning. Throughout her career, she has been a dedicated advocate for student achievement and institutional advancement within the academic community.

    Robert Tiede, retired CEO of Sonoco Products Company, serves on the Board of Trustees at Los Angeles Pacific University, supporting LAPU's governance. Robert Tiede Retired CEO, Sonoco Products Company Rob is the former CEO of Sonoco (NYSE:SON), one of the largest diversified global packaging companies. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sonoco, with global leadership, sales and operating responsibility for all of the Company’s diversified consumer, industrial and protective packaging businesses. Prior to Sonoco, Rob worked in private equity as president of Bostic Packaging/CorrFlex and president of Sterling International. Rob also serves on the Board of Trustess for Azusa Pacific University, and is active in industry and community organizations, including chairman of the Hartsville United Way. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Rob became a U.S. citizen in 2013. He and his wife, Val have three grown children.

Chad Bandy Chief of Partnerships With over 25 years of experience, Chad has built a career deeply rooted in leading education and consulting organizations through strategic and operational transformation. Currently serving as Chief of Partnerships at Cotulla Education, he leads the employer engagement team in cultivating relationships with partners across industries including aviation, electrical, welding, and allied health. Chad also directs government affairs initiatives with elected officials nationwide, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives. This professional journey reflects a steadfast commitment to enhancing workforce training solutions and modernizing organizational processes to meet the needs of both learners and employers. By leveraging expertise in leadership development, staff development, and strategic collaboration, Chad drives impactful partnerships that empower students and institutions to achieve success.

  • Richard Osborn, Ph.D., Leadership Team | LAPU

    Richard Osborn, Ph.D., retired Vice President of the WASC Senior College and University Commission, serves on the Los Angeles Pacific University Board. Richard Osborn, Ph.D. Board Chair / Retired Vice President, WASC Senior College and University Commission Richard (Dick) Osborn retired in 2019 from 49 years in K-12 and higher education, including 39 years in faith-based parochial schools and higher education, including president of Pacific Union College, Napa Valley, CA. He most recently served as a Vice President of the WASC Senior College and University Commission, the regional accreditation association for California, Hawaii, and several international institutions. In volunteer roles, he previously served as Chair of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, as Co-Chair of Denominational Executives in Church-Related Higher Education, as President of the Council for American Private Education (CAPE), and as a member of the Secretariat of NAICU. He graduated with degrees in history including a B.A. from Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University) in Maryland and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Maryland specializing in colonial Virginia history. His wife, Norma Keough, is a retired family ministries pastor.

    Lisa Baptiste teaches Health Sciences at LAPU. A chemistry professor and department chair, she loves sharing her knowledge of chemistry with students.
