Why did you decide to enroll at LAPU?
Since I realized that I was spending a lot of my free time scrolling on social media and watching a lot of streaming services, I felt that I could put my free time to better use and pursue my Bachelor's Degree and talked to my cousin who is enrolled at LAPU and her experiences with the university motivated me to reach out and get information on getting start with my degree.
What program did you study, and what stood out to you during your time here?
I decided to study Interdisciplinary studies because of the different academic subjects to explore complex issues, solve problems, or create new insights that no single field could fully address on its own. Being that I work in the healthcare field, problem-solving is a huge part of my job, in which I can apply critical thinking in combining different field knowledge and methods to find solutions.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about enrolling at LAPU?
My advice for someone who is thinking about enrolling at LAPU is that the LAPU community makes you feel important and valued throughout your educational career. The check-in with your counselor keeps you accountable for the work you are putting in, as well as the support from the professors. And a friendly reminder that this is your journey and not a race, and it is never too late to finish your education.
