Los Angeles Pacific University named Top 10 Military Friendly School

Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU) has been announced as a Gold-level Top 10 Military Friendly school for 2020-2021. The Military Friendly® designation is defined as “the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community.”

LAPU president, Dr. John Reynolds, explains, “We are proud to support those who serve our nation. This designation is recognition by these special men and women that the support systems we’ve put in place to assist our military-connected students are, in fact, working successfully.”

In addition to its Military Friendly status, LAPU offers active-duty and veteran service members a tuition discount; and its status as a Yellow Ribbon School makes it easier to work with the GI Bill®. “The discounts and services we offer help make earning a college degree a reality for a population that doesn’t always get the level of support it deserves. Significant credit goes to our student-serving staff who work so hard to make the process so smooth,” said Dr. Frank Rojas, Executive Vice President of university operations.

The university attributes much of its success in serving the military population to the many male and female veterans who work for LAPU. “There’s just something special about being able to directly relate to the people you’re trying to help. You’ve both `been there, done that’ — and it fuels our passion to understand them and help them,” explains Blason Taon, LAPU’s military and veteran relations manager.
